My name is Tanner Jensen, and I've been playing D&D for about three years. Through my campus gaming organization, I have started several games, run a few of my own, and introduced D&D to dozens of new players. While I may not have the experience of other, more veteran D&D players and writers, I have the unique perspective of someone who has recently stood in the position of the new player and taught several dozen other new players how to play.

 

The purpose of this blog is to introduce and explain Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition to new players, from how the game functions to step-by-step explanations of mechanics, classes, and character creation. My goal is to create a place that brand-new players can use as a reference for better understanding how to play, the way that I have done for dozens of my own players.
